Tata Motors Ltd.'s total vehicle sales in January were 80,304 units, down 7% from 86,125 units a year ago, due to a drop in passenger vehicle sales. The company's total vehicle sales were up 3% over the previous month's sales figure. During the month, the automaker sold a total of 78,159 units in India, against 84,276 units in the year-ago period. This is the company's highest domestic sales figure in three months. While the company's domestic sales fell, its exports rose 16% on year to 2,145 units.
