After Jul-Sept shock, GDP growth seen rising to 6.4% Oct-Dec

India's GDP growth is likely to have rebounded quickly in Oct-Dec from a seven-quarter low of 5.4% in Jul-Sept, driven by an improvement in government spending and rural demand. According to a poll of 13 economists by Informist, GDP growth is expected to have risen to 6.4% in the final quarter of 2024. While this would be a full percentage point higher than the previous quarter, it would be more than 200 basis points lower than the year-ago growth rate of 8.6%.
