NEW DELHI – Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. launched NIVORZ, a biosimilar of Nivolumab, in India, marking its entry into the biosimilar immuno-oncology segment, the company said in a press release Tuesday. NIVORZ was developed and manufactured in-house at the company's biologics facility in Bachupally, Hyderabad, and was approved across 12 indications covering solid and hematological malignancies. 

Nivolumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed death-1 immune checkpoint and is administered through intravenous infusion. NIVORZ is available in 40 milligram/4 millilitre, 100 mg/10 ml, and 240 mg/24 ml single-dose vials. 

The company said India's immuno-oncology market was estimated at around INR 39 billion in 2025 and was predominantly driven by checkpoint inhibitors such as nivolumab, pembrolizumab, and toripalimab. NIVORZ was evaluated in a multi-country clinical development programme involving 288 patients, including 252 from India and 36 from Russia, and demonstrated comparable efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity to reference nivolumab, the company said. The biosimilar was approved in India by the Drugs Controller General of India.  End
