NEW DELHI – Moody's Ratings has assigned a 'Baa2' rating to RBL Bank's $350 million 5.791% fixed rate notes due Sept. 16, 2031, with a 'stable' outlook, the bank said in an exchange filing. The rating is in line with the bank's expectations. These notes will be issued under the bank's $1 billion global medium-term note programme.
"In accordance with our usual policy, assigned ratings are subject to revision or withdrawal by Moody's at any time, without notice, in the sole discretion of Moody's," the filing said Sunday. "Credit ratings issued by Moody's are Moody's current opinions of the relative future credit risk of entities, credit commitments, or debt or debt-like securities and are not statements of current or historical fact."
The bank had earlier said these notes would be listed on India International Exchange International Financial Services Centres and National Stock Exchange International Financial Services Centres. The net proceeds from the issuance will be used to meet the funding requirements of the bank's GIFT City International Banking Unit, to develop and expand business in the GIFT City branch or to meet the bank's general corporate purposes, the private sector bank had said.
For the June quarter, RBL Bank had reported a net profit of INR 2.54 billion on a total income of INR 48 billion. At 0921 IST, shares of the bank traded at INR 411.50 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.3% from Friday. End
