MUMBAI – InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., which operates India's largest passenger airline IndiGo, informed exchanges that the airline has suspended flight operations to six international destinations, primarily in Southeast Asia, due to traditionally softer demand in the September quarter and rising costs. Flights to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, and Shanghai will be suspended from Jul. 1, whereas those to Siem Reap will be suspended from Jul 3, the filing read.

Flights to these six destinations would be halted till Sept. 30. IndiGo will resume bookings for all these services starting Oct. 1. However, if the environment becomes favourable, IndiGo will reinstate these services earlier than scheduled, in appropriate lead time.

For the March quarter, InterGlobe Aviation reported a net loss of INR 26.62 billion on revenue of INR 224.38 billion. On Thursday, shares of the company closed marginally lower at INR 4,508.80 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
