India CPI-IW inflation rises to 26-month high of 4.46% in April

NEW DELHI – India's CPI inflation for industrial workers rose to a 26-month high of 4.46% in April from 4.27% in March, according to data released by the Labour Bureau Friday. Inflation for industrial workers in April 2025 was 2.94%.
The index for CPI for industrial workers increased to 149.9 in April from 149.1 the previous month. CPI inflation for industrial workers in April was higher than the more widely tracked headline CPI inflation of 3.48% in April.
