NEW DELHI – Eicher Motors Ltd. Thursday announced the launch of the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 364,856. The motorcycle's engine will have a capacity of 650 cubic centimetres, the company said in an exchange filing. The premium motorcycle is available in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colours. Retail sales began Thursday.
"With the all-new Royal Enfield Bullet 650, our approach was not to reinterpret the Bullet, but to elevate it with modernity and authenticity," B. Govindarajan, Eicher Motors' managing director and Royal Enfield's chief executive officer, said in a statement. "Every element — from its proportions and silhouette to its stance and detailing has been carefully evolved to retain the pure essence and character of the iconic machine, while seamlessly integrating the power and refinement of the parallel twin 650cc platform," he added.
For the March quarter, Eicher Motors reported consolidated net profit of INR 15 billion on revenues of INR 61 billion. Wednesday, shares of the company closed 0.6% higher at INR 7,419 on the National Stock Exchange. End
