RIL arm, Major League Baseball team up to boost sport in India

NEW DELHI – Reliance Industries Ltd. said its wholly-owned arm RISE Worldwide Ltd. and Major League Baseball in the US have partnered to promote baseball in India. The two will together partake in marketing and commercial initiatives to deliver a live event in Mumbai in October. They will also undertake grassroots initiatives and introduce baseball to new audiences, the company said in a press release.
For the March quarter, on a consolidated basis, Reliance Industries reported a net profit of INR 169.71 billion on revenues of INR 2.99 trillion. Wednesday, its shares closed at INR 1,359.70 on the National Stock Exchange, up 2.8% from Tuesday. End
