SMALLCAP World Fund sells 3.39% stake in IIFL finance through open market

MUMBAI – SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc. has sold a 3.39% stake in IIFL Finance Ltd. through the open market Wednesday, the company said in an exchange filing. The fund disposed of 14.36 million shares, reducing its holding in the company to 1.81% from 5.20% earlier, it said. Following the transaction, SMALLCAP World Fund's shareholding declined to 7.72 million shares from 22.08 million shares earlier.
For the March quarter, IIFL Finance had reported consolidated net profit of INR 5.87 billion on revenue of INR 36.93 billion. At 1156 IST, shares of the company traded at INR 463 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 1%. End
