KOLKATA/NEW DELHI – Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. is eyeing double-digit growth in its US business for the financial year 2026-27, with biosimilars, consumer healthcare products and differentiated launches expected to drive growth in the US market, the company's management said in a post-earnings conference call.

"We will absolutely grow in North America...in double digits," the management said, adding that the growth projection excludes semaglutide sales from Canada and other markets. The company said future growth in the US would increasingly come from biosimilars and consumer health products.

The management said the company expects the US business to return to growth after weak sales of Lenalidomide dragged performance in the March quarter, adding that the base business continued to deliver double-digit growth despite product-specific headwinds. The company plans to launch 27 products in the US market during the current fiscal year.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of INR 2.21 billion for the March quarter on revenue of INR 75.46 billion.

The management also said gross margins are expected to improve to above 50% in FY27, boosted by new launches, product mix improvement, and semaglutide sales.

On semaglutide, Dr Reddy's said it expects to sell around 6-7 million units in markets that receive approvals by the end of 2026, with Canada likely to contribute significantly. The company reiterated its expectation of around 12 mln units in overall sales over time despite delays in Brazil approvals. The management added that semaglutide prices in several markets are expected to remain in the range of $25-$30 per unit initially, although pricing could moderate if competition intensifies.

Shares of the company Tuesday ended at INR 1,270 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.8%.  End
