NEW DELHI – The free trade agreement with Oman is likely to come into effect from Jun. 1, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said Tuesday. India signed the deal with Oman in 2025-26 (Apr-Mar).
With the trade deal covering 98.08% tariff lines to Oman, 99.38% of India's export value to the Gulf nation will be duty-free. New Delhi has also offered duty-free access to Omani goods on 77.79% tariff lines under the pact. These lines cover 94.81% of Indian imports from Oman.
India's exports to Oman were $4.41 billion in FY25, while India's imports from Oman were at $6.55 billion. End
