MUMBAI – The Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India Friday approved the central bank's budget for 2026-27 (Apr-Mar). The board, which held its 622nd meeting in Patna, also approved the central bank's medium-term strategy framework, Utkarsh 3.0, for three years starting 2026, RBI said in a press release.
The RBI board also assessed the emerging global and domestic economic scenario, including evolving geopolitical developments and their impact on financial markets, as well as associated challenges, the central bank said.
The meeting, chaired by RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, was attended by deputy governors T. Rabi Sankar, Swaminathan J., Poonam Gupta, and Shirish Chandra Murmu, Economic Affairs Secretary Anuradha Thakur, Revathy Iyer, Sachin Chaturvedi and Ravindra H. Dholakia. End
