NEW DELHI – The US is seriously considering hitting Iran "very hard" and targeting new areas and groups of people, President Donald Trump said Saturday, as the conflict in West Asia moved to the eighth day. Trump said Iran apologised and surrendered to its neighbours in West Asia only because of the relentless attack by the US and Israel.
"Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran's bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time," Trump said in a post on Truth Social platform. "It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries."
Reports Saturday said Iran has decided to halt attacks against neighbouring nations unless an attack on Iran came from these countries. Referring to US President Donald Trump's announcement that "there will be no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender", Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said, "They'll take their hopes of our unconditional surrender to the grave".
Iran is no longer the "bully" of West Asia and is instead "THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST", Trump said. Iran will continue to be a "loser" for many decades until they surrender or collapse completely, the US president said.
The US and Israel on Feb. 28 struck Tehran and killed hundreds, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched attacks on US bases in West Asia and on Israel. End
