--YES Bank says Vinay Tonse to take over as MD, CEO on Apr. 6
NEW DELHI – The board of directors of YES Bank Ltd. Friday approved the appointment of Vinay Muralidhar Tonse as managing director and chief executive officer of the bank. Tonse will take charge on Apr. 6 for a three-year term, the company said in an exchange filing Friday. He will take over from Prashant Kumar, who demits office on Apr. 5.
Tonse will be managing director and chief executive officer designate from Thursday until Apr. 5, the bank said. In February, the Reserve Bank of India had approved Tonse's appointment as managing director and chief executive officer of YES Bank for three years. Tonse was managing director of the retail business and operations of State Bank of India till Nov. 30, 2025.
For the December quarter, YES Bank had reported a net profit of INR 9.52 billion on a total income of INR 91.76 billion. Its shares closed Friday at INR 20.12 on the National Stock Exchange, down nearly 1%. End
