AHMEDABAD – Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Sunday said its port at Haifa in Israel is fully secure and in operational condition. Saturday, Israel and the US launched aerial attacks on Iran, killing the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei. Iran has since retaliated against Israel and against US military facilities around the Persian Gulf region.

In a statement circulated by a company spokesperson, Adani Ports said all its employees are safe and the port's assets and infrastructure are secure and in operational condition. "The port continues to monitor the situation and is coordinating closely with the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety and operating as per their instructions," the company said in a statement. "We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our people and the continuity of operations, maintaining stability for Israel's supply chain and international trade."

In 2022, Adani Ports had acquired a stake of nearly 70% in Haifa Port. The remaining stake is held by Israel's Gadot Group. Haifa is among Israel's bigger ports and important for the country's Mediterranean trade and regional logistics.

For the December quarter, on a consolidated basis, Adani Ports had reported a net profit of INR 30.54 billion, up over 21% on year, on a revenue of INR 97.05 billion, up nearly 22%. Friday, shares of Adani Ports had closed nearly 2% lower at INR 1,521 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
