MUMBAI – Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Wednesday said it has collaborated with US software company GitLab Inc. to help enterprises incorporate artificial intelligence across their workflow. The companies plan to help businesses accelerate software delivery, enhance security, and implement AI agent orchestration across the entire software development lifecycle, TCS said in a press release.

The information technology major said it will help customers implement GitLab Duo agent platform, which will support large-scale migrations and transformations for global businesses with complex, multi-team environments across sectors, such as telecommunications, finance, and retail among others.

TCS will combine its industry expertise with GitLab's unified DevSecOps platform to deliver comprehensive transformation services, including initial assessments, migration roadmaps, custom agent development, industry-specific accelerators, and managed platform services. Further, the company will develop industry-specific AI workflow templates and pre-built agents that address common use cases, enabling businesses to adopt AI-powered development practices.

Additonally, the partnership also aims to modernise legacy software development practices and implement GitLab's comprehensive platform. "It enables us to bring AI-Native DevSecOps capabilities to our clients. This is particularly crucial as enterprises navigate the imperative of AI-led rapid software development while maintaining reliability, security and compliance," Ashok Krish, the head of AI practice, TCS, said in the release.

For the December quarter, the IT major reported a consolidated net profit of INR 106.57 billion on a revenue of INR 670.87 billion. Shares of the company ended at INR 2,629.30 on the National Stock Exchange, up over 2.2%.  End
