L&T transfers construction goods e-commerce platform to arm for INR 600 mln

AHMEDABAD - Larsen & Toubro Ltd. executed a business transfer agreement Tuesday to transfer its e-commerce platform for industrial and construction goods, SuFin, to its wholly owned subsidiary SuFin Ltd., the company said in a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges.
The transfer was undertaken on a going concern basis through a slump sale for an aggregate consideration of INR 600 million. The SuFin platform caters to procurement requirements in the industrial and construction segments.
The related-party transaction, carried out at arm's length, is aimed at housing the e-commerce business under a dedicated subsidiary structure. For the December quarter, L&T reported, on a consolidated basis, a net profit of INR 32.15 billion on a revenue of INR 714.50 billion. At 1500 IST, shares of L&T were down 3.5% at INR 4,261.30 on the National Stock Exchange. End
