NSE, BSE to discontinue F&O contracts of Tata Tech, Torrent Pharma, 2 others

MUMBAI – The National Stock Exchange and BSE will discontinue futures and options contracts of Tata Technologies Ltd., Torrent Power Ltd., Housing & Urban Development Corp. Ltd., and Piramal Pharma Ltd. The NSE will discontinue the derivative contracts from Apr. 29 and BSE will discontinue them from May 4. The exchanges will, however, allow the February, March, and April derivative contracts of the four stocks to expire.

 

The exchanges said these four stocks are no longer eligible to be included in the derivatives segment as per the Securities and Exchange Board of India's circular dated Aug. 30, 2024. The circular had laid down rules relating to the entry and exit of stocks in the derivatives segment.

 

Monday, shares of Tata Technologies and HUDCO closed 1.2% and 0.7% lower, respectively, at INR 600.55 and INR 194.10 on the NSE. Shares of Torrent Power and Piramal Pharma closed 0.5% and 1% higher, respectively, at INR 1,536.40 and INR 162.14.  End
