Central Bank of India enters into distribution agreement with SBI Funds Mgmt

NEW DELHI – Central Bank of India has entered into a distributorship agreement with SBI Funds Management Ltd. for distribution of its mutual fund products to customers, the bank said in an exchange filing on Saturday.
"The participation by both the entities in this arrangement will result in offering the customers of Central Bank of India, an opportunity to unlock the value of their savings through various mutual fund products offered by M/s SBI Funds Management Limited," the lender said.
Central Bank of India's net profit for the December quarter jumped nearly 32% from a year ago to INR 12.63 billion due to rise in other income and improvement in asset quality. On Friday, shares of the state-owned bank closed at INR 38.31 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.6% from the previous day.
SBI Funds Management is a joint venture between State Bank of India and AMUNDI, a French asset management company. SBI Funds Management services around 250 million above investor folios and has a total asset under management of INR 12.41 trillion as on December 31, under its suite of investment offerings. End
