MUMBAI – Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. will buy the UK-based Mercury Pharma Group Ltd.'s trademarks, Progynova and Cyclo-Progynova, and related assets in India for $32.15 million. Dr Reddy's has signed a definitive agreement with Mercury Pharma for the trademarks, it said in an exchange filing Wednesday.
"The acquisition strengthens Dr. Reddy's Gynecology Portfolio in India through its foray into the Hormone Replacement Therapy segment," Dr. Reddy's said in the filing. For the December quarter, the company's consolidated net profit was INR 12.10 billion on a revenue of INR 87.53 billion. Wednesday, its shares closed slightly lower at INR 1,280.30 on the National Stock Exchange. End
