MUMBAI – Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Tuesday started sales of its battery electric vehicle, e Vitara, at an introductory battery-as-a-service price of INR 1.10 million and a battery equated monthly instalment of INR 3.99 per kilometre. The customers can book e Vitara by paying INR 21,000.
During the launch of its first all-electric sport utility vehicle e VITARA in December, the company said it aimed to establish 100,000 electric vehicle charging points by 2030. e Vitara will have a driving range of 543 kilometres on full charge, the company's management said during its launch.
Maruti Suzuki reported a net profit of INR 37.94 billion for the quarter ended December. Its revenue for the quarter was INR 498.92 billion. At 1458 IST, shares of the company were trading nearly 1% higher at INR 15,161 on the National Stock Exchange. End
