PM Modi urges producers to focus on quality even at cost of margin

NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday said that foreign countries are now eager to invest in India as they see immense potential here and He urged the manufacturers and entrepreneurs to produce best quality goods for export.

 

"There are massive opportunities for us in the world, but we must produce the best quality goods, even if it means lower profit margins for us," Modi said while replying to the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Rajya Sabha. "The world will love to buy Made-in-India products if we give superior quality," he added.

 

Modi said-there are numerous projects where the foreign investment "is bound to come" because the world is seeing its future in India. "There is a competition among the countries to do business with India," he added.

 

The prime minister said that his government makes plans for five years, and fix yearly targets. "We are making futuristic policies for emerging sectors such as space, green hydrogen, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence. India can give a lot to the world in artificial intelligence," he said.

 

Modi said that when he spoke of Digital India a few years ago, people were sceptical as to how it can succeed in a poor country like India. "Today, digital transactions and UPI payments are a reality...Also, we are the fastest to roll out 5G network," Modi said.  End
