--BUDGET: To develop 3 dedicated chemical parks to cut import dependence
NEW DELHI – In order to enhance domestic chemical production and cut dependence on imports, the government will launch a scheme to support states in establishing three dedicated chemical parks, according to the Union Budget for 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha Sunday.
"We will launch a scheme to support states in establishing 3 (three) dedicated chemical parks, through challenge route, on a cluster-based plug-and-play model," Sitharaman said. End
