HDFC Life Oct-Dec net premium income rises nearly 9%, net profit up 1.5%

MUMBAI - HDFC Life Insurance Co. Ltd.'s net profit for the December quarter rose 1.5% from a year ago to INR 4.21 billion. The insurer's net premium income for the quarter was INR 182.42 billion, up nearly 9% from INR 167.71 billion a year ago. The company's solvency ratio was 180% as on Dec 31 against 188% a year ago.
