L&T Fin's retail loan book rises 21% YoY as of Dec 31, disbursements up 49%

--L&T Finance: Retail disbursements INR 226.90 bln in Oct-Dec, up 49% YoY 

--L&T Fin: Retail loan book INR 1.12 tln as of Dec 31, up 21% on year 

 

NEW DELHI – L&T Finance Ltd.'s retail loan book rose 21% on year to INR 1.12 trillion as of Dec. 31, according to provisional figures released by the non-banking finance company Monday. The company's retail disbursements rose 49% on year in the December quarter to INR 226.90 billion.

 

Among total disbursements during the December quarter, urban finance accounted for the largest share at INR 96.70 billion. The company disbursed INR 67.40 billion in rural business finance loans in the December quarter. The company achieved 'retailisation' of 98% of its portfolio as of Dec. 31, up from 97% a year ago.

 

For the quarter ended September, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 7.35 billion, up 6% on year. On Monday, shares of L&T Finance ended 0.2% higher at INR 320.30 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
