Govt imposes provisional anti-dumping duty on low ash met coke imports

NEW DELHI – The government has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty of $60.87–$130.66 per tonne on the import of low ash metallurgical coke imports for six months, according to an order published on Wednesday. The anti-dumping duty will be imposed on imports from Australia, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, and Russia.

 

The Directorate General of Trade Remedies had in November recommended imposition of provisional anti-dumping duty on import of low ash metallurgical coke imports. This was after it found that low ash metallurgical coke imports was exported to India at dumped prices from Australia, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, and Russia. It had also found that the imports had led to "material injury" to the domestic industry.  End
