--Indian Bank cuts MCLR by 5 bps across tenures from Saturday
NEW DELHI – Indian Bank has reduced the marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by five basis points across tenures, effective Saturday, the bank said in an exchange filing on Wednesday. The bank's revised MCLR now ranges from 7.90% to 8.75%.
The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review their MCLR every month. The Chennai-based lender also lowered the three-month-to-three-year Treasury bill-linked rate by 5-10 bps. The bank's revised Treasury bill-linked rates now range from 5.30% to 5.50%.
Indian Bank reported a net profit of INR 30.18 billion in the September quarter on a total income of INR 190.77 billion. The bank's shares closed 3.5% higher at INR 837.25 on the National Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
