FSIB invites applications for NABARD deputy MD post by Jan 16

NEW DELHI – The Financial Services Institutions Bureau has invited applications for the position of deputy managing director at the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, to be submitted by Jan. 16. The selected deputy managing director will assist NABARD's chairman to develop and implement strategies, and to drive institutional credit flow for promotion of agriculture, small scale industries, and allied economic activities, according to a release.
NABARD currently has two deputy managing directors Ajay Kumar Sood and Goverdhan Singh Rawat. Sood's term will end in August 2027 and Rawat's tenure will end in November 2028.
Candidates applying for the post should have minimum 40 years of age and 3 years of residual service as on Oct. 27, 2025. Candidates from the private sector must have a minimum of 18 years of experience with at least 12 years experience in financial institutions or banks.
The selected deputy managing director will hold office for five years, subject to the normal age of superannuation of 60 years. End
