IMD forecasts very dense fog over Uttar Pradesh Tue, Madhya Pradesh Tue-Wed

MUMBAI – Very dense fog conditions are likely over Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and over Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department said. Dense fog conditions are very likely to prevail during the early hours over Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday and over Madhya Pradesh from Tuesday to Thursday, it said.
Visibility in very dense fog conditions drops to 0–50 metres, while in dense fog conditions, visibility is 51–200 metres.
Dense fog conditions are also very likely to prevail during the early hours over parts of northeast India from Tuesday to Saturday, over Himachal Pradesh from Tuesday to Thursday, and over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather department said.
Under the influence of two western disturbances to the northwest of the country, along with the formation of a fresh feeble western disturbance on Wednesday, light rainfall or snowfall is likely over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad from Thursday to Sunday, over Himachal Pradesh over the weekend and over Uttarakhand on Sunday, the department said.
A gradual fall in minimum temperature by 2 degrees Celsius is likely over northwest India in the next two days and thereafter a gradual rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius is expected during the subsequent four days. In Gujarat, no significant change in minimum temperature is likely in the next two days, after which a rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius is expected in the subsequent three days, the weather department said.
No significant change in minimum temperature over Maharashtra as well as central, eastern, and northeast India is likely over the next seven days, the weather department said. End
