NEW DELHI – One 97 Communications Ltd. has invested INR 22.50 billion in its wholly-owned subsidiary Paytm Payments Services Ltd. through a rights share issue, the fintech company informed exchanges Friday. The investment comes after the Reserve Bank of India authorised Paytm Payments Services to operate as a payment aggregator.
One 97 Communications had announced about the investment in November along with its quarterly result for Jul-Sept. The company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 210 million for the September quarter on a revenue of INR 20.61 billion. On Friday, shares of the company ended nearly 2% higher at INR 1,304.70 on the National Stock Exchange. End
