NEW DELHI – InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. will operate over 2,000 IndiGo flights on Friday as per its revised scaled-down schedule, the company said in an exchange filing. The government had asked IndiGo to cut flight routes by 10% after the company ran into trouble with new norms on reduced pilot flying hours and was forced to cancel hundreds of flights per day in the first week of December.

"All our 138 operational destinations are connected, and our on-time performance has been consistently normal as per IndiGo standards," the company said in a statement. On Thursday, IndiGo operated over 1,950 flights and cancelled just four. On Wednesday, it had operated over 1,900 flights and cancelled two. Cancellations in recent days were due to unfavourable weather, and all affected customers were promptly informed, the company said.

"We have informed all our airport partners to publish the new flight schedules of the adjusted network on terminal screens to avoid any confusion," the company said. IndiGo has engaged an aviation consultancy to independently review and assess the recent disruptions and the factors that caused them.

InterGlobe Aviation reported a net loss of INR 26.14 billion for the quarter ended September on revenue of INR 185.55 billion. On Friday, the company's shares ended 0.9% higher at INR 4,860.50 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
