NEW DELHI – InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. Friday said it has not received any communication from the Securities and Exchange Board of India regarding any violation of disclosure norms. The clarification came a day after media outlet Moneycontrol said the regulator was probing the parent company of budget carrier IndiGo on lapses in following disclosure norms.

"We confirm that the Company has not received any communication from SEBI indicating that any assessment or examination has been commenced. To that extent, the information reported in the news article is factually incorrect," InterGlobe Aviation said in an exchange filing.

The company said it received various queries and requests for information and clarifications from the National Stock Exchange and BSE in connection with disclosure norms, to which it had already responded. "We wish to clarify that the Company is not aware of any information that has not been announced to the stock exchanges which could explain the price movement mentioned in the trading and we are not able to determine the impact of this news item on the Company," InterGlobe Aviation said.

Citing sources, the report by Moneycontrol had claimed the regulator was sifting through minutes of InterGlobe Aviation's meetings to see if the board was aware of the impending situation, referring to the barrage of flight cancellations by the airline in the first week of December.

For the quarter ended September, InterGlobe Aviation had reported a net loss of INR 26.14 billion. The company's revenue for the quarter was INR 185.55 billion. At 1512 IST, its shares traded 0.9% higher on the National Stock Exchange at INR 4,862.  End
