--PNB Housing Fin appoints Ajai Kumar Shukla as MD, CEO from Thu for 5 years 

NEW DELHI – PNB Housing Finance Ltd. has appointed Ajai Kumar Shukla as the managing director and chief executive officer of the company for five years, it said in an exchange filing Friday. Shukla will assume charge as MD and CEO from Thursday.

The position had been lying vacant since the end of October after Girish Kousgi left the company on Oct. 28 to join IIFL Home Finance Ltd. as MD and CEO. Shukla, 52, is currently the chief business officer at Tata Capital Housing Finance Ltd., where he has spent 16 years. He has over 30 years of experience in housing and mortgage lending business and also headed credit, risk, valuation, digital transformation, and affordable housing finance at Tata Capital. Prior to Tata Capital, Shukla worked with ICICI Bank in mortgage business for over seven years.

At 1508 IST, shares of PNB Housing Finance were up 4% at INR 936.25 on the National Stock Exchange. The company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 5.82 billion for the September quarter on a revenue of INR 21.28 billion.  End
