India's goods and services tax collections grew 7.3% on year to INR 1.769 trillion in December, data released by the government Wednesday showed. Both the on-year growth in collections and the absolute mop-up figures last month were at a three-month low. It was broadly expected that GST figures for December would be good owing to year-end spending, but the data showed that on a monthly basis, collections were down 3%.
