Govt revises Nov trade data, gold imports down $5 bln from previous estimate

The government has revised the merchandise trade data for November, lowering the gold import figure for the month by $5 billion. According to data from the commerce ministry's Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics, India imported $9.84 billion worth of gold in November. The revised gold import data for November is $5.02 billion lower than the $14.86 billion estimated by the commerce ministry earlier.
