Demand for automobiles remained tepid in January as domestic wholesale sales grew at a modest 2.5% year-on-year, data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers showed Thursday. While domestic despatches remained muted, exports continued to go from strength to strength across segments, the data showed.
