Govt extends additional charge of SJVN CMD to Bhupendra Gupta for 6 months

NEW DELHI – State-owned SJVN Ltd. Thursday said the government has extended additional charge of the post of chairman and managing director of the company to Bhupendra Gupta with effect from Aug. 1. The government, in an order dated Sept. 10, extended the additional charge for a period of six months or till the assumption of charge of the post by regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earliest, the company said in an exchange filing. Gupta currently serves as chairman and managing director of NHPC Ltd., as per the exchange filing.

 

For the June quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 2.25 billion on revenues of INR 13.94 billion. Thursday, shares of SJVN closed 0.5% higher at INR 67.20 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
