Redington, Siemens partner for digital transformation across six countries

NEW DELHI – Redington Ltd. Thursday said it has joined hands with Siemens Digital Industries Software, a subsidiary of Siemens AG, to accelerate digital transformation across Africa and West Asia. This agreement brings the full power of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industrial software to Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Morocco and Tanzania, with plans to expand into further regions in the future, the company said in an exchange filing. 

 

Through the collaboration, engineers and designers across the continent will get access to Siemens' advanced software for product design, product lifecycle management and advanced simulation and testing, according to the exchange filing. These solutions use digital twin technology by Siemens to create virtual model of physical assets and industrial artificial intelligence capabilities for predicting failures, optimise production and innovate at unprecedented speeds, as per the exchange filing. 

 

For the June quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.86 billion on revenue of INR 349.22 billion. Thursday, shares of the company closed 3.7% higher at INR 392 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
