Restaurant Brands Asia opens 600th Burger King restaurant in India

NEW DELHI – Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd. Thursday said it has opened its 600th Burger King restaurant in India, located at Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar in Delhi. The company had launched its first Indian outlet in Saket, Delhi, in 2014. It now operates more than 100 restaurants across the Delhi-National Capital Region. With this latest opening, the quick-service restaurant chain has expanded its domestic footprint to cover over 140 cities across India.
Restaurant Brands Asia is the national master franchisee of the Burger King brand in India. It has exclusive rights to develop, establish, operate and franchise Burger King branded restaurants across India.
For the June quarter, Restaurant Brands had reported a consolidated net loss of INR 283.48 million on revenues of INR 8.23 billion. At 1327 IST, shares of the company traded at INR 97.60 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, down nearly 3% from Wednesday. End
