Berger Paints to start ops at new plant in Andhra Pradesh Wednesday

MUMBAI – Berger Paints India Ltd. Tuesday said it will commence commercial production at its new, fully automated solvent-based paint manufacturing facility in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday. The company had invested more than INR 1.88 billion to construct the state-of-the-art plant, which boasts an annual production capacity of 36,000 tonnes per annum, according to an exchange filing.
For the June quarter, Berger Paints reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.04 billion on revenues of INR 35.84 billion. Tuesday, shares of the company ended 1% lower at INR 479.45 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. End
