KOLKATA – Personal care products company, Emami Ltd. Tuesday said it has forayed into the baby care products segment, launching products under the BoroPlus skincare brand umbrella.

The new range of baby care products is christened BoroPlus FromMaa, which uses contemporary formulations developed specifically for a baby's delicate skin.

The range is enriched with premium natural ingredients such as Mamra almonds, Kashmiri kesar and milk protein, known for their nourishing and skincare benefits. Products in the range are paediatrician approved and dermatologist tested, Emami said in a statement.

The launch comes at a time when India's babycare market, estimated at over INR 400 billion, is witnessing robust growth, with the category evolving rapidly as increasingly discerning parents gravitate towards premium, natural and expert-backed babycare solutions.

"BoroPlus has earned the trust of Indian families over decades, and with FromMaa, we are delighted to extend that legacy to the babycare category," Priti A. Sureka, director at Emami said in a statement.

BoroPlus FromMaa, which has baby lotion, cream, soap, shampoo, massage oil, powder, and diaper rash cream as the products under the brand, will be available across leading e-commerce platforms in multiple pack sizes and formats.

In the June quarter, Emami reported a net profit of INR 1.37 billion on revenues of INR 10.39 billion. Tuesday, its shares ended 1.06% lower at INR 363.65 on the National Stock Exchange. End
