--HCL Tech to invest INR 1.85 bln in Bengaluru semiconductor lab 

MUMBAI – HCL Technologies Ltd. has launched an advanced semiconductor lab in Bengaluru with an investment of INR 1.85 billion, the company said in an exchange filing Tuesday. The new lab features 25,000 square feet of Class 1,000 and Class 10,000 cleanrooms delivering end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing, and failure analysis.

The facility has been equipped with tools from Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix, and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., which will support research and development, pre-production and production qualification. "Serving both domestic and international markets, the lab is a cornerstone of HCLTech's global strategy to deliver innovative, high-quality semiconductor solutions, and to strengthen India's leadership in the sector," the company said in an exchange filing.  

For the June quarter, HCL Technologies had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 46.24 billion on revenue of INR 345.79 billion. At 1500 IST, its shares traded slightly lower at INR 1,277.50 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. End
