Jupiter Wagons bags INR-976.6-mln GATX India order to mfg, supply rakes

MUMBAI – Jupiter Wagons Ltd. Tuesday secured an INR-976.6-million order from GATX India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the US-based GATX Corp., to manufacture and supply BFNS22.9 rakes, according to an exchange filing.
"As leasing companies expand their presence on the Indian Railways network, the demand for specialised wagons such as the BFNS22.9 continues to grow. We remain committed to supporting this evolving ecosystem through consistent execution, robust quality systems, and reliable long-term partnerships," Vivek Lohia, managing director of Jupiter Wagons, said in the press release.
For the June quarter, Jupiter Wagons had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 282.55 million on revenues of INR 6.71 billion. At 1450, its shares traded slightly lower at INR 243.60 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. End
