--Asian Paints approves appointing Leo Puri as Chairman from Jan 23, 2027

 

MUMBAI – Asian Paints Ltd. Monday said its board has appointed Leo Puri as chairman with effect from Jan. 23. Puri will succeed R. Seshasayee, who is due to complete his tenure. The board also approved Puri's appointment as an additional and independent director for five years, commencing Monday.

 

Puri is the advisory India chair for global private equity firm Apax. He also holds board positions at Fortis Healthcare, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Spanish company Amadeus IT Group. Earlier, he has served as chairman of South and Southeast Asia for JP Morgan Chase and chief executive officer of UTI Asset Management.

 

For the June quarter, Asian Paints had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 15.39 billion on revenues of INR 105.42 billion. Monday, its shares ended at INR 2,500.90 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, down 1% from Friday.  End
