Bank of Maharashtra establishes $500 mln Euro MTN programme

NEW DELHI – Bank of Maharashtra has established a $500-million Euro medium-term note programme Saturday, the bank said in an exchange filing. The bank has submitted framework of the programme with the National Stock Exchange International Financial Service Centre Ltd. and India International Exchange in line with regulatory requirements, it said.
The move will enhance the bank's ability to raise foreign currency resources as it has come at a time when the Reserve Bank of India has introduced a swap facility for external commercial borrowings and overseas foreign currency borrowing.
Bank of Maharashtra recorded a net profit of INR 20.20 billion in the June quarter on a total income of INR 90.63 billion. At 1129 IST, the shares of the bank were trading 1% lower at INR 85.01 a piece on the National Stock Exchange. End
