MUMBAI – JSW Steel Ltd.'s consolidated crude steel production rose 3% on year to 2.47 million tonnes in August. The company's crude steel production in India was at 2.39 million tonnes, up 4% on year. Crude steel production at the company's plant in Ohio, US, was down 11% on year to 78,000 tonnes. The company's capacity utilisation for Indian operations in August was at 88%, the company said in an exchange filing Saturday.
Friday, shares of JSW Steel ended 1.3% higher at INR 1,325 on the National Stock Exchange. For the June quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 46.51 billion on revenues of INR 473.64 billion. End
