--JSW Energy: Total installed capacity now over 15 GW adds 1,572 MW in FY27 


NEW DELHI – JSW Energy Ltd. Friday said its operational power generation capacity has crossed 15 gigawatt after the commissioning of 1.57 GW since April, taking total capacity to 15.03 GW. The capacity added in the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) includes 1.27 GW of renewable energy capacity and 300 megawatt of thermal capacity. Renewable capacity comprises 593 MW solar, 108 MW wind, 420 MW hybrid, and 150 MW hydro projects, as mentioned in the exchange filing. 

Renewable energy accounts for over 60%, or 9.07 GW, of the company's operational portfolio, while thermal capacity stands at 5.96 GW. "The company remains on track to meet its greenfield capacity addition target of 3 GW for FY2027, having achieved approximately 42% of the target to date," the company said in the exchange filing. 

 

JSW Energy has 32.4 GW of locked-in generation capacity, including 13.4 GW under construction, and 29.6 gigawatt-hours of locked-in energy storage capacity. It is targeting 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 Gigawatt-hours of energy storage by 2030. 

 

For the June quarter, JSW Energy reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.71 billion on revenues of INR 52.07 billion. At 1235 IST, shares of company traded at INR 537.35 on National Stock Exhchange, down 0.4%.   End
