NEW DELHI – Gujarat Mineral Development Corp. Ltd. Friday said the probable data breach on its website has not affected core operations and systems and they remain fully functional. The company had activated its cybersecurity incident response and investigation mechanism after government agency Indian Computer Emergency Response Team had flagged a probable data breach on its website, it said in an exchange filing.

Gujarat Mineral Development has engaged its internal and external cybersecurity experts to assess the nature, scope, and impact of the probable data breach incident, on the basis of the advisory from the Computer Emergency Response Team.

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team is a functional organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology with the objective of securing Indian cyberspace. It provides incident prevention and response services as well as security quality management services.

Gujarat Mineral had reported a net profit of INR 1.63 billion on revenue of INR 9.07 billion for the June quarter. At 1143 IST, its shares traded slightly higher at INR 566.10 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.  End
