RailTel says Himachal higher education body cancelled INR 203.5 mln order

NEW DELHI – RailTel Corp. of India Ltd. Thursday said the Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, cancelled a letter of acceptance for a project to set up a management information system and central dashboard for higher education institutions in the state. The project has been cancelled on account of financial non-viability and non-availability of the requisite funds, the company reported in a stock exchange filing. The project, for which the letter of acceptance was issued on Apr. 27, was valued at INR 203.5 million, including tax, the company said in an exchange filing.
For the June quarter, RailTel Corp. had reported a net profit of INR 657.80 million on revenues of INR 8.93 billion. Thursday, its shares ended at INR 270.90 on the National Stock Exchange, down slightly from Wednesday. End
