NEW DELHI – Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd. Thursday said it was declared the successful bidder to establish an inter-state transmission system for integrating 7,500 megawatts of renewable energy projects in Lakadia Renewable Energy Zone in Gujarat, according to an exchange filing. The project will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis at quoted annual transmission charges of INR 11.52 billion. Power Grid Corp received the letter of intent for the project on Thursday.


"The project comprises establishment of new 765/400kV(kilovolt) Lakadia-II Sub-station in the state of Gujarat. Further, the project involves construction of 765kV (kilovolt) transmission lines traversing through the state of Gujarat along with the associated equipment and bays," the company said in the exchange filing. It also involves installation and commissioning of a synchronous condenser at the Lakadia-II substation.

 

For the June quarter, the company reported a net profit of INR 34.11 billion on revenues of INR 97.95 billion. Thursday, its shares closed at INR 265.60 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.5%.  End
